Sunday School

Studying God’s Word and connecting with other believers are both vital if we are to grow in our walk with Christ. At FBC Oak Grove, both of these priorities are met in our small group Bible studies we call Sunday School which meet on Sunday mornings at 9:45 a.m.

Our groups are designed to help people engage with others in their own age group or life experience. We have groups for every age, from babies through senior adults. Please see the Classifcation Chart (below) to find a group that will best meet your needs and those of your family.

Our desire is that everyone be a part of one of these small group Bible studies. It is here that you will experience the fullness of what it means to be part of the church “family.”

Frequently Asked Questions

All of our adult and youth Sunday school classes uses Lifeway’s Explore the Bible curriculum. The lesson breaks down passages of Scripture in applicable ways. Our children use a very similar curriculum called Bible Studies for Life, also from Lifeway, while our preschool classes use Group curriculum which focuses on engaging kids in fun and creative ways as they learn Bible stories and truths.

We have options for any style of learning! Some of our teachers prefer to lecture, while others are more discussion-based. Feel free to visit a few while you’re trying to decide which one you connect with the most!

Not much! We believe our Sunday school classes are all considered Bible study groups. However, there are also Bible studies that meet throughout the week. Contact the church office (below) for more information about current Bible studies!
