At FBC Kids, we want kids to know and love Jesus! Our goal is for kids to connect with God by studying the Bible and praying, to grow in their walk with Christ and others by spending time with God and fellow believers, to serve in ministry by using their talents to support our church and God’s kingdom, and to go to the lost by telling people about the Gospel!

Motto: “Listen to Jesus, Worship Jesus, Talk to Jesus, Go for Jesus!”

Vision: To come alongside parents in discipling their children to know Jesus. To be a safe and loving environment for children who may need refuge from the world. To know God’s Word! To learn how to follow Jesus! And HAVE FUN!

Our preschool area is for kids birth-kindergarten.

Our elementary area is for kids 1st-5th grade.

Connect Groups (9:45 am)

We have Connect Groups for each grade and age group from birth-5th grade! These groups meet on Sundays from 9:45-10:45 AM.

Helpful Tips when Arriving:

Our Kid’s Entrance is located on the North side of the building facing Oak Grove Middle School. We encourage all our families with young children to enter at this door because it is near the Children’s Wing.

Birth-Kindgergarten each have their own class upstairs in our Preschool Hallway. 1st-5th Grade Groups are located directly below our Preschool area downstairs. You can access it by stairs next to the check-in station or feel free to take the elevator down to the lower level if your hands are full!

Special Friends Class for Special Needs Children: Please call the church office if your child requires certain accommodations, or send an email to our Children’s Director (rachel@firstbaptistog.org).

Frequently Asked Questions

We use Grow curriculum for preschool-kindergarten classes. This curriculum is Biblically based and uses age appropriate activities and a video to engage in learning. The 1st-5th grades use Lifeway’s Bible Studies for Life. They study a lesson each week and play games or do activities based around the lesson.

Every lesson the kids learn is based on the Bible and geared toward your kid’s specific age group.

Your child’s safety is a priority for us at FBC Oak Grove! All of our adult leaders are background checked and have training in dealing with emergency situations. We have protocols in place to protect your kids in all situations.

All children that are 5 years old or under will be checked into our system. This is an extra safety measure so that teachers know who is picking up a child and how to contact you in case of emergency. This should only take an extra minute before you drop your kid(s) off. They can then be escorted down to their classroom by their parent in our secured Preschool Hall. If you’re a first-time guest, don’t worry, a children’s volunteer will be there to help you through the process!

It is a priority to us to accommodate any allergies that your child may have. Please be sure to notify your child’s leader at drop-off.
