Our small group currently meets from 7-8:30PM in our youth building.

We have other fun events and service opportunities throughout the year!

Women's Ministries

WMU

Our WMU (Women’s Missionary Union) meets on the third Wednesday of each month at 5:00 p.m.

Our women’s missions efforts include outreach to:

Resource Health– ministers to men and women who are dealing with

unplanned pregnancies

Re Hope – ministers to women who are victims of human trafficking

Collegiate Impact – ministers to college students across the state of Missouri

Del Haven – a summer camp for children who are at risk from the inner city

Community Services League – supports families in Oak Grove through food, clothes, and school supplies

…and many more!

Other Activities

Women’s Bible Study – There are several opportunities for women’s only Bible studies and Discipleship classes.

Events – there is at least one women’s retreat during the year, with opportunities for other events ranging from fun activity nights to women’s conferences.

Men's Ministries

Our Deacon Ministry consists of ordained men who carry out specific ministries in our community, including ministry to nursing homes, hospitals, Naomi Ministry (widows), crises, new member cultivation, and other ministry needs as they arise.

Our Brotherhood Organization offer several opportunities to participate in this ministry, including:

Men’s Prayer Group which meets every Friday morning at 6 a.m. at the church for a time of prayer for our church, community, personal and other needs.

Other Men’s Bible Studies, prayer groups, ministry needs, and events which happen throughout the year.

Jubilees (50+ years old)

What is a Jubilee? Many, many things. The 50th year in a Jewish calendar, also known as the Year of the Lord’s favor, but for FBC it is also an Elderberry. If you are age 50+ you can be a Jubilee too! If you are in that age group be sure we have your current contact information (address, phone, email, etc). Fill out the form below or contact the church office to make sure you’re on the contact list for the Jubilees!

Prayer Ministry

First Baptist Church of Oak Grove has a very dedicated prayer ministry that is active in our community. Whether you have an immediate prayer request or you would like a group of people to pray over you, our prayer warriors are ready. You can call our church office, Monday through Friday, from 8 to 4 p.m., with prayer requests that will be passed along our prayer chain, where we have people ready to pray for you and your request. Your prayer requests can also be added to our weekly bulletin publication that is distributed during our Sunday morning worship services.

RightNow Media is a digital library full of resources and training tools just for you! There are hundreds of videos and study guides for individual use or for Bible studies! You can use it just for yourself or for studying the Bible with your kids or teens. The best part is you can access it anywhere – the mobile app, on a desktop computer, or on a smart TV! With tons of topics to choose from and lots of different styles of preaching, there’s something for everyone!
