Bret Pritchard

Associate Pastor

I have been a part of the FBC Staff since June 1995 and serve as Associate Pastor. My primary ministry areas involve working with Sunday School (small groups), missions, and administration. I love seeing people come to Christ and grow in their walk with Him.

Matthew 20: 25-28 is my life verse that drives me in ministry: “Jesus called them together and said, ‘You know that the rulers of the Gentiles lord it over them, and their high officials exercise authority over them. Not so with you. Instead, whoever wants to become great among you must be your servant, and whoever wants to be first must be your slave just as the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.'”

Brett Kirk

Youth Minister

Brett is a man of God who desires to help youth understand the gospel and live it out. He understands that in today’s society, students are constantly dealing with issues like peer pressure, depression, anxiety, family conflicts, and many more complicated problems. Brett knows that now more than ever, students are in need of leadership and guidance, but most importantly that they need a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. His goal is to equip students to know, live, and breathe the gospel so they can live in a way that both glorifies God and betters their communities.

Brett attended Southwest Baptist University and earned a bachelor’s degrees in Communication and Christian Studies. Brett’s wife, Emma, enjoys serving alongside him in student ministry, and she is a licensed professional counselor.

Rachel Sandusky

Children’s Ministry Director

Hi, I’m Rachel Sandusky, the Director of Children’s Ministry here at First Baptist Church Oak Grove. I am married to Nick (the Senior Pastor) and we have 3 children: Rilee, Baylee, and Tatum.

We are new transplants to the KC Missouri area. I am a homeschooling mom as well.

Nick and I have served in ministry together our entire marriage. I have served in various roles in the church over the years but children are ultimately my favorite area to be. I love getting to know the kids and develop relationships with them from the tiny babes to the big kids! I have a desire to see families encouraged and ministered to as they walk through the journey of parenthood. I believe it’s so important for the church to be involved in the schools and community.

At FBCOG, our goal is to help in laying the foundation of the gospel to our kids alongside parents and grandparents.

We focus on: Listening to Jesus, Worshiping Jesus, Talking to Jesus, and Going for Jesus!

This is a verse that is my favorite and helps me remember that our children are always watching us and that the gospel needs to simply be intertwined into every part of our lives everyday.

“The Lord is our God, the Lord alone. And you must love the Lord your GOD with all your heart, all your soul, and all your strength. And you must commit yourselves wholeheartedly to these commands that I am giving you today. Repeat them again and again to your children. Talk about them when you are at home, and when you are on the road, and when you are going to bed and when you are getting up. Tie them to your hands and wear them on your foreheads as reminders. Write them on the doorposts of your house and your gates.”- Deut. 6:4-9
